Message	Besides running it all the way up to the a-pillar, I see no problem. I found it easier just to connect to the map light power source which is right there. No need to run wires. The reason I put it on a switch is because if I ever got pulled over I would switch the radar detector off before stopping. Also, if I was going through a state where they are illegal (VA) I COULD switch the detector off instead of unplugging it and taking it down.
